The Maaju Pool
A specialized pit called the Maaju Pool rests in the center of the courtyard. Sibyllae must wear special body-suits to displace the atmospheric pressure and anklets spewing a hard stream of smoke to keep from falling through the open hole below. This pit is most commonly used to practice drawing the enormous sky glyphs, Ri Maajons, of which are drawn by the Simoun to participate in combat and battle. A small device spewing soft smoke is attached to the ankle in order to propel the girl around and allow for the Ri Maajon to be drawn with the contrails. A whole Choir can practice at once, though it is a little tight.
